This project helped remind us what we’ve known all along–the finishing touches make all the difference!
New Siding, Roof, and Shutters
We started by replacing the current, lackluster siding with Alside vinyl siding in a warmer color. The new siding is complemented by the rich red of the front door and shutters.
Next, we replaced the roof with CertainTeed roofing in a neutral dark gray and added a portico roof over the front door. We’re glad this homeowner opted to replace their siding and roofing at the same time–that’s usually what we recommend.
We finished off the house by adding a new walkway made with Cambridge Pavingstones with ArmorTec. As you can see in the before and after photos below, the fresh roof and siding make a big difference in the curb appeal. But the real transformation comes in the details. The red shingles and front door along with the portico roof are what make this home look really special.
The home will look even cozier and more put together when the homeowners add some shrubs and plants along the walkway!
