This West Chester homeowner contacted us because they were interested in updating the exterior of their home. The siding was the original, builder’s grade aluminum siding. It was unlocked between the first and second floors.
We came for an estimate and showed the customer our design visualization tool, so they could see how updates to siding, windows, trim & roofing would look with different customization options.
This homeowner was excited to move forward with Alside siding, new windows and some additional features to improve the overall curb appeal of the home.
We first removed existing siding materials and worked on replacing the windows. We inspected the exposed sheathing for signs of water penetration, rot & mildew. Then we used DuPont Tyvek® HomeWrap® and Tape, which protects the home from water damage and the potential for mold and mildew.
The customer chose Alside Prodigy Insulated Siding in Tuscan Clay, with window & door lineals and big & bold white outside corner posts. We also added Alside Charter Oak soffits, custom-made fascia covers, new gutters and downspouts to complete the look!
The front entry was completed with a white, round tapered column, burgundy storm door, and white casing.
The results truly show a complete transformation that ends beauty but also durability and an added layer of safety from bad weather, mold, etc. If you are considering updating your windows or siding, it often is more cost-effective and makes sense to complete both of those projects at once.
